America's 250th, Celebrated in Oak Knoll's Yard

Family Update  ·  Summer 2026

A handcrafted wooden display is coming soon, and we couldn't be more proud of it.

Dear Oak Knoll Families,

We are thrilled to share that our wooden birthday cake — built in honor of America's 250th anniversary — is coming soon and will be in our yard, just in time for the Fourth of July.

The idea was simple: mark this once-in-a-generation milestone with something our residents could see and enjoy every single day, something that would put a smile on every face that pulled into our parking lot, and something that reflected the spirit of the occasion — big, bright, and a little bit playful.

About the display
The wooden cake structure will be installed in Oak Knoll's yard as a permanent seasonal landmark celebrating the United States' 250th birthday on July 4, 2026. It will be visible from the entrance and designed to be enjoyed from the patio, the windows, and the parking lot — a daily reminder that this is a summer worth celebrating.
We think America deserves a proper birthday, and we think our residents — who have collectively lived through so much of this country's 250-year story — deserve to be at the center of that celebration.

We invite you to come see it in person. Bring the grandkids. Take a photo. Stop and stay a while. That's what summer at Oak Knoll is for.

With gratitude for your continued trust and partnership,

The entire Oak Knoll team
