Carnival Fun Comes to Oak Knoll on September 17

Step right up, families! On Thursday, September 17, 2026, Oak Knoll is throwing a carnival party for our residents, and we'd love for you to share in the excitement. Think classic carnival food, unique games built with our residents in mind, prizes, music, and plenty of laughter as we usher in the fall season together.

Our activities and nursing teams have been busy behind the scenes for weeks, planning games that everyone can enjoy no matter their mobility, tracking down the right treats, and adding all the little touches that turn an afternoon into a real event. We want to give a heartfelt thank-you to every staff member who has poured their creativity and extra hours into making this happen. Their dedication is what makes Oak Knoll feel like home, and it shows in every event they put together.

The residents are already buzzing about it. Ask your loved one which game they're planning to try first or which carnival snack they've been looking forward to, and you'll see just how much these celebrations mean to them.

In other happy news, now that the heat wave has finally broken, our residents have been back out on the road in the Oak Knoll van for shopping trips. It's been a joy to see everyone browsing the aisles, picking out their favorites, and stocking up on the things that make their rooms and routines feel personal. These outings are a small thing that makes a big difference, and we're glad to have them back on the calendar.

And here's a little hint for what's ahead: mark Saturday, October 31 on your calendars. Something spooky and fun is brewing for Halloween, and the planning is already underway. We'll share more details soon, but we promise it will be worth the wait.
